The model compares true probability (what we estimate the real chance of an outcome is) against the break-even probability implied by sportsbook odds. When our estimated probability exceeds the implied odds — that's a positive expected value edge.
We calculate true probability from the sharpest available odds, then apply calibrated signal deltas. It's deterministic algebra — not a neural net, not a black box.
Expected value is the average amount you'd win or lose per bet if you placed it thousands of times. A positive EV bet is one where the true probability of winning is higher than what the odds imply.
For example: if a team has a 55% true chance of winning but the sportsbook odds imply only 50%, the edge is +5%. Over time, consistently betting +EV produces profit — it's the same math that makes casinos profitable, applied in your favor.
Our minimum edge thresholds vary by sport (3-5%) to ensure only high-confidence picks make it through.
Closing line value measures whether the odds got worse (moved against you) after you placed a bet. If you bet a team at -110 and the line closes at -130, you captured CLV — you got a better price than the market settled on.

No. Tout services sell "guaranteed locks" and hide their losses. We do the opposite:
We show the full signal breakdown behind every pick — you can see exactly why the model flagged it. Every pick is SHA-256 hashed before the game starts so we can't edit it after the fact. Our full record (wins and losses) is public. We never use words like "lock," "guaranteed," or "can't lose."
The difference is transparency. Touts sell confidence. We sell math and prove it with data.
Before every game, we generate a SHA-256 cryptographic hash of the pick details (team, bet type, odds, edge). This hash is posted publicly before tipoff.
After the game, we reveal the original pick. Anyone can run the same SHA-256 function on the revealed text and verify it produces the same hash. If even one character were changed, the hash would be completely different.
This is the same technology used in blockchain and digital signatures. It makes it mathematically impossible for us to edit picks after the fact. It's tamper-proof transparency — something almost no other pick service offers.
